The Mono City Fire Protection District (MCFPD) is a volunteer fire department serving the communities of Mono City and Lundy Canyon, and other locations in the Mono Basin of Mono County, California.

The district is responsible for providing fire protection, emergency medical response, rescue operations, and responding to other disaster-related events.  The district engages with the local community through events, training, and outreach programs to improve fire safety and preparedness.  Often community groups and individuals support the district through local fundraising efforts and donations.

Like many smaller, rural fire districts, MCFPD relies on a volunteer firefighter force.  The district works in coordination with neighboring agencies for larger-scale incidents and mutual aid.

Due to the remote and mountainous nature of the area, the fire district may face logistical challenges in quickly accessing certain locations.  However, the fire department is equipped with the knowledge and necessary tools to manage these challenges and provide effective emergency services.
